Thank you for using the Northgate Jewellers site (the "site").  Use this section for information about the terms and conditions that govern your use of the site.

Contract for sale

The advertising of products on this site is an "invitation to treat".  That means your order is an offer, not a contract between you and Northgate Jewellers, so prices and stock availability will not be contractually confirmed until you receive our "confirmation of order" email dispatched once credit card authorisation has been confirmed and stock levels have been checked.

Prices and Payment

All prices are in £ sterling and include UK VAT at the appropriate rate. Delivery charges are not included in the prices quoted. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards.

 

Delivery Information

The delivery costs for UK are as follows:

£4.60 for order totalling under £85 (including VAT at the UK rate) after discounts have been applied

Free delivery on orders totalling £85 or more (including VAT at the UK rate) after discounts have been applied.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue free delivery at any time.

We can deliver to anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland.

Items paid for by PayPal or credit card can only delivered to addresses confimed by PayPal.  This is normally the billing address.

We cannot guarantee delivery times but we aim to deliver within 3-5 working days.

 

Overseas delivery can be made to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe. 

Deliveries are made via the Royal Mail International Signed For service and costs £12.00.

Purchasing

All items offered on our website are subject to availability. To purchase any of the items on our Web Site, click the "Add to Basket" button shown on each product page. When you place an order to purchase a product by clicking the button "Order Now", we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've accepted your order or dispatched the product to you. The contract will be filed. For safety reasons your order’s data are not accessible via internet. We keep these data in confidence according to our privacy policy.

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order within fourteen calendar days of delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods) and return them for a full refund. This will apply to your order unless you order goods made to your own specification or goods that by their nature cannot be returned including personalised or engraved items and earrings for pierced ears.  Should you cancel the contract we will then refund you the price you have paid for the goods. It is your responsibility to give notice of your wish to cancel within this cancellation period by email, fax or letter. You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods. The goods must be returned in their original condition, including immediate packaging,  at your expense and we would recommend for your own protection that you use a recorded delivery service. Should you order, details of this right will be sent to you with your confirmatory e-mail.

Returning Goods

If you wish to return goods you have a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until you return them.  Please telephone us on 01634 880488 if you would like to return your order.  Goods must be returned in their original condition, including immediate packaging, within the cancellation period.

For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the goods.

When returning items, you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting.  We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit.

Please note that, except where goods are faulty, we cannot refund pierced earrings, personalised or engraved items, or goods made to your own specification.

Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
